BARÜ Ranks Among Türkiye’s Most Successful Universities in 9 Indicators According to the 2025 Council of Higher Education (YÖK) Report According to the University Monitoring and Evaluation General Report–2025 published by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Bartın University (BARÜ) ranked among the top 20 universities in Türkiye in 9 different indicators. The University Monitoring and Evaluation General Report–2025, which includes analyses of 201 universities in Türkiye based on 67 different indicators, was released by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). According to the report, one of the most comprehensive evaluations of universities, Bartın University (BARÜ) succeeded in ranking among the top 20 universities in Türkiye across various indicators, thanks to its achievements in quality, accessibility, and its upward trend in international rankings. The YÖK report evaluates universities under five main categories: Education and Training, Research and Development, Projects and Publications, Internationalization, Sustainability, and Community Service and Social Responsibility. Based on universities’ contributions to and development in higher education, the report announces the top 20 universities for each indicator. BARÜ ranked among the best universities in Türkiye in 9 indicators out of 201 universities. BARÜ Ranks in the Top 5 in Two Indicators with Its Accessible University Initiatives With its efforts toward becoming an accessible university, BARÜ ranked among the top 5 universities with the highest number of Accessible Flag Awards, holding a total of 40 accessibility flags and badges. In the list prepared based on the number of audiobooks and disability-friendly resources in libraries offering accessible information resources, BARÜ ranked 5th with more than one million resources. BARÜ Achieves High Rankings in Education and Training, Research and Development, Projects and Publications BARÜ ranked 7th among universities with the highest percentage of student satisfaction with course delivery, 13th among universities with the highest percentage of satisfaction with faculty members, and 8th among universities receiving the highest level of support under the TÜBİTAK Scientist Support Programs (BİDEB). In the indicator measuring student-led social responsibility projects, BARÜ ranked 12th with 214 projects. With its notable success in international rankings, BARÜ ranked 13th together with 8 universities among the most successful universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, 13th among universities with the best rankings in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, and 18th in the indicator for universities in the Climate Action category of the THE Impact Rankings. In addition, BARÜ’s steady development was also reflected in the number of activities carried out by its Career Center. BARU Ranks Highly in the GreenMetric Rankings Through Its Environmentally Friendly Practices

Bartın University (BARU) achieved a notable success in the 2025 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, which evaluate sustainability and environmental performance. Among 1,745 institutions worldwide, BARU was ranked 170th globally and 15th in Türkiye among 142 universities. The results of the 2025 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, one of the world’s most comprehensive assessments in the field of sustainability, have been announced. According to these results, Bartın University ranked 170th worldwide among 1,745 higher education institutions from 105 countries. In the rankings, which encompass a broad sustainability framework ranging from energy management and carbon emission reduction to green space ratios, waste management, water conservation, and education and research activities, BARU also achieved a significant position among universities in Türkiye. The University ranked 15th among 142 universities nationwide and 10th among state universities. In addition, compared to the previous year, BARU increased its total score across various indicators to 8,300 points. Emphasizing that the University continues its environmentally focused initiatives in line with its “green campus” vision, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya stated, “We continue our efforts aimed at improving energy efficiency, waste management, and the expansion of green areas. BARU Continues Its Success in the THE World University Rankings

Bartın University (BARU) achieved a significant success by being placed in the 1001 to 1200 band in the overall ranking of the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026, while ranking 16th in Türkiye. In the “Research Quality” category, BARU was ranked 624th worldwide and became the top state university in Türkiye. Bartın University continues to enhance its international visibility through its high quality academic output and achievements. The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026, prepared by one of the world’s most reputable university ranking organizations, have been announced. Evaluated across multiple performance indicators, BARU once again demonstrated its academic strength at the international level. Among 2,191 institutions from 115 countries included in the rankings, BARU successfully maintained its position in the 1001 to 1200 band despite the increase in the number of participating universities. In the national rankings, BARU shared 16th place with six universities among a total of 109 universities in Türkiye, marking a notable achievement. BARU Becomes the Top State University in Türkiye in Research Quality In the THE rankings, which are compiled based on indicators such as teaching, research quality, research environment, international outlook, and industry engagement, BARU ranked highly both globally and nationally. According to the list, BARU was ranked 624th worldwide and 4th in Türkiye in the “Research Quality” category. Moreover, as in the previous year, BARU maintained its leading position among state universities in this category. BARU Increases Its Scores in Three Categories BARU improved its scores compared to the previous year in the categories of “International Outlook,” “Industry,” and “Teaching,” thereby advancing its overall position in the rankings. In the “International Outlook” category, BARU rose by 156 places to rank 1,236th worldwide. In the national rankings for the same category, BARU achieved 27th place in Türkiye and 8th place among state universities. In the “Industry” category, BARU ranked 1,982nd worldwide, moving up 14 places.
